Pioneer Days
Pioneer Days were held on February 21st and 22nd at the History Park in Punta Gorda. Members of the Guild were present doing weaving and spinning demonstrations.
Winter Workshop
The Weavers of Char-Lee will meet for member-led weaving workshops on January 7 - 9, 2025 at the North Fort Myers Library, 2001 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers. Meetings are from 10 - 5 on Wednesday and Thursday and from 9 - 3:30 on Friday. Bring a lunch.
ROC Day 2026
Guild members will recognize Roc Day, also known as Saint Distaff's Day, on Saturday, January 3th, at Sidney & Burne Davis Art Center Portico, 2301 First Street, FtMyers FL 33901. Traditionally, women resumed their spinning and household duties after the twelve days of Christmas. Guild members will provide an opportunity to learn about spinning and weaving at the Sidney & Burne Davis Art Center Portico from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Fiber Get Togethers
Get together with spinners on Thursdays at 10:00 am at Einstein Bagels, 2068 NE Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Get together with knitters on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm at Panera Bread, 1830 NE Pine Island Road.
Art Fest
The Weavers of Char-Lee will demonstrate weaving and spinning at Fort Myers Art Fest on Feb. 6th (evening), 7th, and 8th.
Guild Meetings
The guild's next meeting will be on Thursday, Jan 8, 2026 starting at 10:00 am. The meeting will be held at North Fort Myers Public Library, 2001 N Tamiami Trl, North Fort Myers, FL 33903.
