Pioneer Days

Pioneer Days were held on February 23rd and 24th at the History Park in Punta Gorda. Members of the Guild were present doing weaving and spinning demonstrations.

Winter Workshop

The Weavers of Char-Lee will host Natalie Drummond for a Deflected Doubleweave workshop on January 8 - 10, 2025 at the North Fort Myers Library, 2001 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers.

ROC Day 2025

Guild members will recognize Roc Day, also known as Saint Distaff's Day, on Saturday, January 4th, at Gulf Coast Village, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd, Cape Coral. Traditionally, women resumed their spinning and household duties after the twelve days of Christmas. Guild members will be present providing an opportunity to learn about spinning and weaving at the Gulf Coast Village craft room from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Fiber Get Togethers

Get together with spinners on Thursdays at 10:00 am at Einstein Bagels, 2068 NE Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Get together with knitters on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm at Panera Bread, 1830 NE Pine Island Road.

Art Fest

Fort Myers Art Fest was held on Feb. 3rd and 4th. Weaving and spinning demonstrations were provided by Guild members. There were samples of our weaving and activities for kids to introduce them to weaving.

The guild's next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 10th, 10:00 until 3:00 at the Collaboratory, 2031 Jackson Street, Fort Myers. Meeting schedule:

Originally, guilds were set up by like-minded individuals for mutual interest and benefits – to share knowledge and techniques, preserve heritage, and encourage high standards of workmanship. Whether you are a beginner or someone simply interested in weaving or spinning, we welcome you to our group.
